With less than a month to go until Fashion's Night Out here in London, a few details are emerging of some of the events which will be taking place. On September 8th (co-incidentally the same date as my graduation ceremony!), London will once again be transformed into fashionista central, and, after last year's antics, I'm really excited to see what this year will bring. Here are a few gems of information which have been released so far:
Rob Ryan has designed the official Fashion's Night Out tee for 2011, which will retail for £18 across the retailers participating in the event. All proceeds will go to Kids Company.
Mulberry will be offering manicures and photo booth sessions at their Bond Street branch, following which you can pop over to the Brompton Road store to have your fortune read. There will also be prize draws taking place.
Rupert Sanderson will be having a roller disco in his Mayfair store (amazing!) and will also launch an exclusive disco platform boot, with 10% of the proceeds going to Kids Company.
Matthew Williamson will be showcasing his new diffusion line MW at his Bruton Street store, where he will be joined by the face of the collection, Edie Campbell. An exclusive limited edition t-shirt will also be available in store.
Alexander McQueen will be selling these exclusive keyrings which will be sold at their Bond Street branch:
And that's just for starters! For more information about some of the exclusive merchandise which will be sold on the night and for more on the events taking place visit the Fashion's Night Out website. I can't wait to hear what else will be going on!
Are you looking forward to Fashion's Night Out this year?

10.09.2010- Fashion's Night Out!
Vogue's second Fashion's Night Out look place here in London on Wednesday 8th September, and the event did not disappoint. Designed as a global celebration of fashion and shopping, the event takes place all over the world and, since the launch last year, has fast become a much-anticipated addition to the fashion calendar. I missed last year's event, but was determined to get involved this year and I was not disappointed.
Along with some friends, I made my way to South Audley Street, home to London's Marc by Marc Jacobs store. Sarah of City Girl's Fashion Box had some inside information that the store would be giving away free t-shirts, emblazoned with the image from the BANG campaign. However, nothing much was happening when we got there, and after we found out that the event wasn't kicking off until 7pm, we popped along to Bond Street to check out what was going on there, stopping, of course, for some photos along the way.
Back on Bruton Street, the paparazzi were gathered outside Juicy Couture, where Pixie Lott was appearing:
Then word then spread that Gwyneth Paltrow would soon be arriving at Stella McCartney, where she was the star guest for the evening. The photographers went mad as soon as she got out of the car, by Gwyneth took it all in her stride and calmly made her way into the store.
After escaping the mania and meeting up with our lovely friend Eddie, we were back on Bond Street. A trip into Burberry where we saw Jo Wood and some of the stars from the advertising campaigns was followed by a jaunt into Prada, where we were served mini-portions of fish and chips in custom made Prada newspaper cones.
Walking back along Bond Street, we popped into Mulberry and Miu Miu, where I picked up my Fashion's Night Out t-shirt. Outside Louis Vuitton, we saw Alice Dellal having a cigarette before DJing at the in-store party, and I managed to sneak a crafty picture:
After a quick pit-stop in Topshop, we headed home as most of the shops were closing after a really great evening. So, without further ado, here's my haul from Fashion's Night Out:
All in all it was a really fantastic night, and I'm already counting down the days until next year!

Bond Street was still pretty quiet at this point, but we popped into DKNY, saw the preparations going on outside Chanel and were greeted in Gucci with free champagne (a lovely waiter offered me a non-alcoholic drink, how sweet!) and the most delicious dark chocolate, complete with the Gucci logo. As we headed back to Marc Jacobs, we saw loads of paparazzi outside Armani, waiting for the likes of Gemma Arterton, Claudia Schiffer and Mr Armani himself.
Back at Marc Jacobs, it was a mad scramble to buy something in order to get the free-t-shirt, and the event proved extremely popular. More free champagne was on offer, and the shop also played host to a pop up photo shoot, where you could re-create the BANG campaign and take home a souvenir printout of your own custom advert. This was such a fantastic idea on the part of Marc Jacobs and was such fun to take part in.

After Marc, we toddled down the road to Christian Louboutin, where a tea party was in full swing. The shop was packed to the rafters, but there was a brilliant atmosphere and live DJ. The shop had been beautifully themed for the evening, with tea cups hanging from the ceiling and the most amazing Louboutin cake on display:
The staff were also handing out free goodies bags (more on that later!)
After this, we walked back to Bond Street via Bruton Street, where more paparazzi were waiting. We popped into Matthew Williamson, which had been beautifully themed as a Moroccan Souk by the man himself, who was hosting the event, along with special guest Jameela Jamil from T4.

19.08.2010- Fashion's Night Out
The second Fashion's Night Out is happening here in London on the 8th September, and, according to vogue.co.uk, these are some of the events in the pipeline:
'Mulberry: It’ll be a lively night at Mulberry’s Bond Street store with SingStar karaoke, face-painting on the first floor and a live DJ busting tunes on the ground floor. Refreshments will be provided in the form of pies, Prosecco and beer for the boys.'
'Manolo Blahnik: Following an appearance at Liberty, Manolo will be at his Old Church Street store signing shoes. Try your luck at winning a pair from the autumn/winter 2010 collection.'
'Matthew Williamson: The British label will be teaming up with chic Moroccan restaurant Momo to transform the Bruton Street store into a Moroccan Souk, complete with a Gnawa music group, Moroccan-inspired drinks and canapés for guests. All guests visiting the store that evening will have the opportunity to enter a competition to win covetable front row tickets to the Williamson's London Fashion Week show in September. Matthew will also be making an appearance with a mystery star guest.'
'Liberty: The iconic British store will launch Manolo Blahnik’s World of Manolo pop-up shop selling an array of exclusive products including candles, shoehorns and chocolates. The mini boutique will also feature a bespoke bar with drinks named after his chic designs. Also, to celebrate Liberty’s new scarf room opening, the store will be hosting styling classes and mini-fashion shows showing customers how to wear their scarf. '
'Harvey Nichols: Head to Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge where designers including Erdem, Christopher Kane and Martin Grant will be on hand to customise the Fashion’s Night Out charity T-shirts and tote bags on sale in store. The first floor will create an old-fashioned haberdashery area where designers will help you jazz up your piece. Have a picture taken with your favourite designer in one of the store's photo booths. In Manchester, the store will host a variety of designer trunk shows or, alternatively, guests can eat a three-course meal while watching the hit fashion film Devil Wears Prada. The Leeds branch will hold a large-scale fashion showcasing autumn/winter’s key looks and trends.'
'Chanel: Get an express manicure in one of Chanel’s gorgeous new colours from its Les Khakis de Chanel collection; Khaki Rose, Khaki Vert and Khaki Br, created by, Chanel’s global creative director of make-up Peter Phillips, especially for Fashion's Night Out.'
'Burberry: One of fashion’s most stylish men, Christopher Bailey, will host an evening of Champagne and canapés, as well as offering shoppers the chance to win two tickets to the must-see Burberry spring/summer show. The store will also conduct an acoustic bands session showcasing the best emerging music talent.'
'Browns: The London-based boutique is launching its Shop 24 – a new concept store spanning over two floors, comprising must-have wardrobe staples from the perfect white shirt to the best worn-in biker jacket. Browns will also be marking September 8 with Back To School activities with leading authorities offering guests lessons on music, art and food. Shoppers will be offered mini shepherd’s pies, rhubarb and custard crumbles from the Tuck Shop and fizzy pop served from the Bike Shed.'
'Giorgio Armani: Vogue's editor Alexandra Shulman and Giorgio Armani will be hosting a glamorous cocktail party at the Emporio Armani store on Bond Street.'
'Alexander McQueen: The Bond Street store is holding a prize draw to win a covetable Britannia clutch bag. The British label is also launching an exclusive bracelet in five varying colourways.'
'Selfridges: Recently named the world’s best department store, Selfridges will launch Mulberry’s pop-up shop unveiled by Emma Hill. Colin McDowell will host a conversation with Peter Pilotto while Lily Allen will celebrate the opening of her sister’s vintage store, Lucy in Disguise, with a star-studded party and a pop-up boutique. '
Sounds amazing right? The mystery guest as Matthew Williamson sounds intriguing, my money's on Sienna Miller, but who knows! I'll definitely be checking out the Mulberry pop up shop in Selfridges, and heading to Liberty. Also the Browns Back To School activities (and food!) sound amazing, so will have to pop by and have a gander, if only for the sake of my inner child! One thing I'm sure of: comfy shoes are a must for this event!
