Hello beauties I hope this post finds you well. Morbid Monday is almost over (rejoice rejoice)

Sometimes you just can't resist...

Sometimes in life, you stumble across something that you know you should walk on past. Something that you know you should forget about. Something that despite these thoughts of rationality you just cannot resist.

I had one of these moments the other day. Innocently browsing the internet I stumbled across a dress. It seems wrong to call it just 'a dress' now because... well it quickly became 'the dress' the dress that I couldn't walk on from. The dress that I couldn'y forget. The dress that I absolutely, fundamentally, right right now needed to have.

I cannot begin to verbalise to you why this dress had such an impact on me. Truth be told I don't really think I know myself. I do know that it appeals to every tiny fragment of my being though - appeals to the long ago fairytale princess lover, the summery bohemian, the free spirit, the whimsical daydreamer and even subtly somwhere the rock n roll chick.

The dress was everything. I had to have it.
And I did.
In 14 days the dress will be mine.

 And I cannot wait.

Hey beauties, I do hope you're all well and good, today has definitely been a typical Monday for me, not feeling too amazing ha-ha. I think after  a gorgeous weekend Monday always seeems crappy and even though I've been at home for the majority of the day it's just not been too fabulous.

Ahh well enough of my moanings ha-ha I have a little OOTD for you all today seeing as I was rather keen on this outfit and I haven't done one for a while again -slaps wrists-

Wednesday Wish List 20/7/11

Hi dolls! Feels like absolutely ages since I tortured myself with a little Wednesday Wish-list so seeing as I had a free day feeling sorry for myself (hello crappy headache) I thought I'd get back on it for you all and have a little hunt. Well, I can certainly tell you I was not disappointed and now I'm stupidly excited about heading out shopping ASAP (oops - sorry bank balance!)
Here's my top finds this week:

Firstly this gorgeous structured blazer with lovely turned-up cuffs (anyone else a total sucker for them?) I'd be wearing this over a simple dress in Summer for some structure then teaming with skinny jeans and boots in the Autumn for a real put together look. Absolutely love the cut of this beauty - not too tight but not sloppy enough to drown me - perfection.
Topshop £65.00

Then we have this edgy little crop top which I would team with a black high-waist skirt, denim cut-offs or skinny jeans for a fab rock chick look throughout the seasons. Great unique print and I love the 'Free Spirit' motif - maybe it's my inner hippie but I love that idea ha-ha.
Topshop £18.00

Next up we have this fab red skater dress that if you follow me on twitter  you'll know I've been drooling over. I just think it's so classy and elegant but also relaxed and not too formal so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable wearing it on a day to day basis. I'd team with flat patent black Mary-janes and a cropped leather jacket. And I'd be happy!
Miss Selfridge £37.00

Then we have these gorgeous studded boots which I'm a bit crazy about! Love the fact that they're grey not black (all studded boots seem to be black - so annoying) and that they're the perfect height - not TOO high but enough of a lift to elongate my pins a little. Perfect friend for an LBD I think.
Missguided £33.99

Lastly I'm going ga-ga over this beautiful studded watch. Yeah, watch! How absolutely awesome is that? I love, love the studs (if you haven't guessed by now I'm a total studaholic) and I love how this is such a unique twist on traditional watches.
River Island £25.00

So there's my little wish list for you all I hope you love the items as much as I do (as long as you dont go out and buy them all before I can ha-ha)

Now as well as the wish-list today I've also got something really lovely to add to the post here :

Another blog award!
Absolutely thrilled and big thanks to the gorgeous Madeline who awarded it to me and please go and check out her fabulous blog!

Now here for 7 facts about me to brighten up your day ;)
- I'm a massive football fan which fellow fashionista's always seem to think is strange seeing as the two don't really mix ha-ha
- My favourite food is Strawberries and I can literally eat a whole punnet at a time = bliss
- I played tennis for 9 years giving it up about 4 years ago for my GCSE's
- I'm teaching myself Spanish at the moment and I absolutely love it
- I'm the biggest bookworm you'll ever find my house looks like an actual library

OOTD and Best Blog Award

Hey beautts! How are you all doing today? The family have arrived home - my house is currently jam packed with suitcases, piles of clothes, tanned people and confused cats (she'd got used to just having her momma around for 10 days and now she keeps eying the rest of them like 'who are you' lol) I'm just getting used to the fact my peaceful evenings alone are over - booo but I'm super glad to have them safely back and catch up on the gossip!

Today I have a really quick and simple outfit post for you which is something a little different for me. As most of you know I'm really into a lot of layering and flowy fabrics it's kind of become my default style to have at least two layers per outfit. Todays outfit however is incredibly basic and simple kind of 'minamilistic chic' and I was curious as to what you lovelies thing of it as it's a little different for me!

Here we are :

What I'm wearing :
Basic white top - H&M
Black Shorts - New Look
Black Heels - New Look
Hat - Accessorise
(It's actually a winter hat but I couldn't resist topping the outfit off - a girl has to have soome accessories at least)

Also for those who are interested this is my 'shredded' body - fairly happy with how things are going just a couple of 'areas' to work on.

Now onto something that really made my day today! The lovely Alyssa of The Beauty and Fashion mashup (great blog check it out) nominated me for :
The Best blog award!
I'm super thrilled and greatful to her for doing this as I love to know that people enjoy fashionismyh2o so thankyou Alyssa!
As part of the award I now have to fill in some of my favourite things and let you know some facts about me! Hold tight I'm sure you're all going to be enthralled ;)

Favourite Colour
Grey - sounds boring but it's not and I love it ha-ha
Favourite Song
Impossible to pin one down for 'all time' at the moment I'm obsessed with 'Better than me' by Hinder.
Biggest Pet Peeve
People trash talking others for absolutely no reason there's just too much hate going on in the world right now, I don't even care if this makes me sound like a hippie.
When you are upset you
Get snappy and moody but generally don't talk about it I suck like that ha-ha
Favourite pet
My Grace <3
ha-ha no it'd be cats in general absolutely adore them
Black or White
Always Black. Obsessed. Half my wardrobe = Black plus I'm too pale for white generally
Biggest Fear
Too many to mention mostly stupid and irrational
Best Feature
Oooh I dunno ha-ha I quite like my legs they're pretty long for a shorty (yeah I realise that sentance makes pretty much no sense)
Everyday attitude
Depends greatly on my mood, generally polite and fairly posotive though especially If I'm working
What is perfection
I have no idea but once I find it I'll let you know!
Guilty Pleasure
Eating hot chocolate powder out of the jar on a spoon. Mhmmmm.

So there we are  then my lovelies! A unique kind of OOTD and some facts about me ;) what more could you all want?

OOTD Studs + Drainpipes.

Hello beauties! I hope you've all been enjoying a relaxing and fun weekend. I'm currently juggling cooking a roast dinner for my boyfriend (just call me Nigella :p ) and bloggering away - very proud to be putting the multi in multi tasking ha-ha! Now I'm just hoping that I dont end up talking to you about turning the lamb chops whilst dropping my memory card into the saucepan to cook up some fashion inspiration ;)

Anyway, it's just a quick OOTD post for you today - I had to show this outfit off because although it's rather simple I feel like I could live in it for the next few months (don't worry I'd wash it of course....welll...sometimes) I feel like it's kind of the embodiment of my style - A little bit rock n roll and then a little bit flowy and relaxed.

Here we are:

What I'm wearing :
Jeans - Topshop
Wedges - New Look
Black vest - Can't remember pretty sure it's New Look
Leather Jacket - New Look
Belt - River Island men (remarkably not my boyfriends for once)

This is really what I'd describe as a 'go to' look for me. What kind of stuff do you always migrate back to if you know you're in a hurry to knock an outfit together?

Tuesday OOTD - House of Harlow

Hello my loves, how're you all today? I'm feeling rather lethargic and ill this week (thanks to everyone on Twitter for your advice) so my blogging has been going down-hill. Today though I have an OOTD that really cheered me up to show you.

Not long ago I managed to win a gorgeous House of Harlow necklace from the fabulous http://www.nrichienews.com/  which as you can imagine was wonderful! I'm a massive fan of Nicole Richie and have always admired her gorgeous jewellery and clothing lines so the chance to own a piece for myself is just amazing! Mega thanks Nrichienews.com!

Here's the outfit I wore to showcase my win:

I teamed the lovely necklace (check out http://www.nrichienews.com/ for advise on the best places to shop House of Harlow and Winter Kate) with :
- Leather leggings - Quiz
Black sheer necked tank top - Vintage shop
Coral sheer oversized shirt vest - TNFC London at House of Frazer
And my trusty wedges of course
+
Turqoise stone ring which I picked up in Mallorca

Overall I'm very happy with the necklace, I feel it can be worn in a casual way easily but also can be used to dress up an outfit for night-time glamour. It's classic but unique and the colours are just stunning so I'm a happy girl!

What do you ladies think?

Sunday Stylin - New Hair + Birthday outfit

As those who follow me on Twitter might have noticed / been bored about hearing, I had my hair done yesterday for the first time in about 6 months! And for once in my boring, scaredy cat life I had a radical change ha-ha. Suffice to say I was rather nervous about it beforehand but omg I absolutely LOVE it and I'm so glad I had it done. I had about 3 or 4 inches off it into a long bob and my side fringe cut back in properly - it'd become just a random flap of overgrown hair hanging in my face and then I had it dyed back to dark brown/black. Phew.

After all this I was more than ready to go out and celebrate and celebrate I did with my amazing friend Lauren. We went for a gorge meal and then for some naughty cocktails! Giving me and oppurtunity to pose for a few shots to show off my new hair and some of my new birthday clothes!
So here I am:

I wore :
Cream Dress (which I'm now obsessed with) from PopArt
Belt - From my sisters wardrobe ;)
Shoes - New Look
I also used my black Micha Barton Clutch but I think I'd thrown it somewhere at this point ha-ha.

So there we are Hair update and Outfit Post in one - Multi tasking ;)

Embellished shoulders

Hiya Bloggers :) Lately, all I seem to see around me is clothing with gorgeous embellished shoulders - I think we have a certain Rihanna to thank for this trend as she seems to have rocked them a lot lately :

Now her variations might be slightly extreme but this trend has definitely filtered down to the High Street and I've done my best to hunt down a couple of examples for you:
Also available in White which is somewhat nicer I think

Just some exaples of what's available around at the moment

In my own Wardrobe I have a few items with shoulder embellishments but my absolute favourite is this:

You can't see it perfectly on here because the details are quite small but it's a gorgeous black and white stripey T-shirt style dress with gold and silver studs and chains on the shoulder. My amazing (and generous) boyfriend brought it for me from Republic I think :) and I absolutely love how the simple detail on the shoulder makes the dress stand out soo much more :)

What's your opinion on Embellished shoulders? Too much or a nice added sparkle?
