Monday must have - With a twist

Hello beauties, hope you're all well this rather depressingly cloudy Monday! Another week begins and with less than a month till bonfire night I'm officially getting scared of how fast this year is going!

Todays 'Monday must have' has a little twist. A couple of weeks ago I was overwhelmed with how many of you complimented my little black H&M dress that can be seen here
.  As a lot of you commented this dress is so amazingly versatile I thought it was only right to feature it here on the 'Must Have' spot and show you a couple of ways that it could be worn.

Here's the dress :
It's on sale for an absolute bargain price of
H&M £12.99

And now here we have a few different ways I thought this dress could be styled :
Outfit 1
Classic, cute and undenisably chic this outfit is the perfect embodiment of the Monochrome trend that's gracing the high-street at the moment. Spiced up with a gorgeous printed scarf to add a little colour and flair this set could take you anywhere from desk to drinks.
Outfit Two
To me this is exactly the kind of outfit I'd love to be rocking his fall. A little bohemian style with some luxurious Autumnal colours and topped off with the cosiest looking fur gillet I've seen for a long while. Brrrilliant.
Outfit Three
As well as casual looks this dress is the perfect base point for a fierce rock n roll chic outfit build. The Leopard print booties are ridiculously on trend and that gorgeous red clutch would hold your party essentials in style. Top off with a bright red pout to finish off that party look with pizazz.
Outfit Four
Look four is an incredibly laid back look which'd be perfect for running errands. The pretty scarf adds a little flair to the otherwise basic colour palett whilst the two toned bag adds a little luxury. Comfort and style - who said the two can't go together?

So there we are my loves - four ways in which you could dress this LBD up or down. How would you wear it?
Also - if there's an item in particular for any of the sets you're interested in drop me a comment and I'll find you a link!

Have  a good Monday

Madelines 'Summer walk' competition

Hey babes, I hope you're all well and good! As you might know if you follow me on twitter I was having a little bit of a melt-down last night over financial issues having spent the day haring around town trying to get it all sorted I wasn't that impressed to hear I'd have to wait till today at the earliest to fix things up!

However, every cloud has a silver lining and seeing as I had a free none-finance based evening I decided to set about working on a competition enty for the gorgeous Madelines 'Summer Walk' competition.

The competition basically is to design a gorgeous outfit that you would wear on a summer walk and wether it be in an outfit post , a polyvore build or any other format post it on your blog. For full details you can check out the post about it here and please do head over and check the rest of her blog while you're there - it's one of my all time favourites!

So, for my entry I decided to put a little fashionismyh2o twist on things and design three outfits based around the same simple tank top that would fit varying styles.

Here we are :

Outfit one - Rock n roll

This would deffo be my style pick. I love the black shorts I think they'd be super flattering as well as cool in the heat. The sandals are funky enough to add a real edge to the outfit without being too difficult to walk in. And as for the ring - LOVE ha-ha.
Outfit Two - Girlie
This outfit is so freakin cute. It's not exactly my personal style but if I saw it on someone else I would love it. The shorts are so gorgeous in a vintage esque way and as for the sandals - j'adore!

Outfit Three - Boho

This is a very laid-back California girl set. I absolutely adore the shorts with their pocket detailing and the sandals are amazing! This'd definitely be my second choice outfit as I love a bit of bohemia in the warm weather!

So there we are then honey's three Summer Looks for the last of the summer sun, which ones your fave?
If you like / want anything out of the sets let me know and I'll find you a link to the item :)

Sometimes you just can't resist...

Sometimes in life, you stumble across something that you know you should walk on past. Something that you know you should forget about. Something that despite these thoughts of rationality you just cannot resist.

I had one of these moments the other day. Innocently browsing the internet I stumbled across a dress. It seems wrong to call it just 'a dress' now because... well it quickly became 'the dress' the dress that I couldn't walk on from. The dress that I couldn'y forget. The dress that I absolutely, fundamentally, right right now needed to have.

I cannot begin to verbalise to you why this dress had such an impact on me. Truth be told I don't really think I know myself. I do know that it appeals to every tiny fragment of my being though - appeals to the long ago fairytale princess lover, the summery bohemian, the free spirit, the whimsical daydreamer and even subtly somwhere the rock n roll chick.

The dress was everything. I had to have it.
And I did.
In 14 days the dress will be mine.

 And I cannot wait.

Look For Less - Nicole Richie

Hey lovelies, I hope you're all happy and well on this lovely (rainy) Friday night. Absolutely cannot beleive yet another week has gone by and we're all right on the cusp of another couple of days off - bliss! I'm planning on taking some fabbo outfit pics and working on some special posts for you this weekend so keep your eyes peeled next week!

Moving onto todays post though I have a 'Look for less' post for you - one because it feels like I haven't done one in a while - but also because I saw this outfit and absolutely fell in love with the laid back california cool that resonates through it.

Todays look is curtesy of the gorgeous Nicole Richie who I am one hundred percent a mega fan of! Her bohemian, rock n roll, casual style is something that I just cannot get enough of and if there was any celebrity in the world I could raid the wardrobe off it would be her!

Here is Nicole looking absolutely fabulous out and about in LA:

And here is how you can achieve Nicoles gorgeous bohemian look for less :
Firstly this beatiful but simple tank top which with it's elegant drapey material would be perfect for casual Summer days or sophisticated summer nights. The classic black colour meens this of course would go with anything whilst the very light embellishment offers a little edge.

These super cute 70's style lightweight flares which I absolutely love - usually I'm a skinny jeans girl but these kind of jeans could just about convert me! They just scream summer to me and the idea of wearing them with a lightweight floaty tank or sheer blouse is definitely appealing. Flared jeans are especially great for pear shaped lovelies as they balace out larger hips but they look pretty good on most shapes - to maximise the slimming impact they can have team with some funky wedges or sexy heels.
Boohoo £15.00

Next up we have these gorgeous wedges. Now although you can't actually see what shoes Nicole is wearing in the actual outfit I do feel that these would compliment the rest of the look to perfection. Lightweight and summery in terms of colour and style they would work to elongate legs and flatter all figures. Plus they'd look freaking amazing with most of my wardrobe so they're going in here ha-ha.

Next up we have a Nicole classic - The fedora. This one is just the ultimate simply chic accessory and I absolutely looove it! It'd top off (literally) so many fabulous outfits and add a bit of quirky chic to day to day looks.

Lastly we have this super funky bag which would finish off any summer (or indeed any season) look perfectly. The simple black mock leather is incredibly chic and classic meaning it'd work with any colour/print/combination and then the funky stud detail help rock your outfit up a bit and add some glamour. Beautiful.

So there we are my lovelies! Hope you love this look as much as I do and have a fantastic weekend!

Monday Must Haves - Miss Selfridge eddition

Hiya lovelies, hope you're all doing well on this lovely sunny monday - rarity right? I'm back at home for a few hours to visit my sister on her birthday so I thought I'd squeeze in a quick blog post!

Now as you all know when it comes to my favourite shops I am never shy to champion the amazing Miss Selfridge - I find that it's always the first place I hit up when I'm looking for something special - They just have the perfect amount of bohemian flare but in totally wearable and practical pieces - Heaven! Today is no exception to the Miss Selfridge Love Fest - I have AGAIN (yeah that's just how good they are) managed to find a whole wish-list post worthy amount of Miss Selfridge goodies that I'm crazy about and have to share with you!

Here we are :

Firstly there's this gorgeous ethereal style Maxi Dress that I am absolutely in LOVE with. It's perfect in every way. The gorgeous light colour, the elegant almost Victorian style sleeves & collar and then the beatiful subtle embellishments. Just... Stunning.
Miss Selfridge £75.00

Then we have  this beautiful dusky pink and glitzy frock. The ultimate party piece it mixes modern style with flapper style glamour perfectly. This would be an amazing New Year Dress I think - sexy but subtle.
Miss Selfridge £70.00

Then there is this very simple but very chic pleated dress. Lightweight and cool it's understated elegance appeals greatly too me - I can imagine this looking beautiful with a chic hat and shades and a Summer tan.
Miss Selfridge £45.00

In addition we have this amazing bohemian ecclectic vest which I again absolutely adore. The embellishment is just gorgeous and the pretty teal blue background is so unique and pretty for Summer. This top makes me want to run away and join a travelling circus or head on a Morrocan adventure.

Lastly we have this simple but gorgeous camisole. The lovely light nude background and sleek material make this light-weight item perfect for Summer, then the gorgeous print detail adds beautiful flare and originality making it a holiday wardrobe must-have!
Miss Selfridge £40.00

So there we are. Feel free to send any of those items my way and I would love you forever ;)
Hope you end up loving Miss Selfridge as much as I do!

Wednesday Wish List 4/5/11 Miss Selfridge addition

Hello babes, something very weird happened to me whilst sourcing this weeks Wednesday Wist-list - usually I love to browse around pretty much the whole of the high-street for inspiration for my favourite picks. Not this week. This week the first site I happened to visit was Miss Selfridge, now, Miss Selfridge is definitely a favourite of mine I love the bohemian edge to their clothing and the way they're a little different to other stores on the high-street, however whilst at least one or two items on my wish-list are pretty much guaranteed to come from there this week they sparked a monumental first for me ....

Every yes EVERY item on my list this week comes from Miss Selfridge. Literally, I clicked on their 'new in' section to have my usual browse and I was literally BLOWN away by the gorgeous goodies they had on offer!

Seriously, I've always been very impressed by what they have to offer but this week they've completely out-done themselves and if only I had more £ I'd be snapping up the whole collection pretty much!

Here's my absolute faves:

Firstly, we have this divine Kimono Jacket, as you probably all know by now I'm a massive fan of Nicole Richie and her style and this to me just screams the kind of laid back pretty bohemian chic Nicole would rock. This would work over anything - Jeans and a simple tank top, a chic LBD or even a bikini on holiday. It's truly incredibly versatile and a real must-have!
Miss Selfridge £55.00
Secondly, we have this cool and crisp mint coloured vest which with it's elegant pocket details is a real fashionable twist on a simple tank. It looks cool and comfortable for the hot weather and would look perfect with anything from denim cuttofs ( featured below) to tucked into a body con skirt or worn with leggings for a relaxed lounge outfit.
Miss Selfridge £22.00
Now the aforementioned cut-offs. Absolutely perrrfect. Slightly distressed, slightly faded, slightly rocked up with their studded detail, they're everything I like in a short! And more importantly they're not ridiculously butt skimming which I think is a real plus because I dont know about you but I can't feel comfy in a pair of shorts that burst my ass cheeks out every two seconds. These look very wearable as well as super hot.
Miss Selfridge £35.00

Next up we have this divine delicate floral crop top. It's the ultimate bohemian chic, so elegant and pretty, unique and edgy all at the same time. It'd add a hint of class, style and whimsy to any outfit personally I'd team it with denim cuttoffs, a black longline waist-coat and some sandals/booties for a real bohemian chic look.
Miss Selfridge £45.00
Similar to the above is this second gorgeous crop top with embellished detailing. It manages to work the perfect amount of sparkle without looking like a deranged christmas tree and would look divine over a fitted LBD for some evening summertime glam!
Miss Selfridge £45.00
Next up we have this beautiful smock dress, comfy creamy and delicious it's the perfect casual chic summer dress. The long sleeves would hide any sundamaged skin, or skim over any imperfections you may be paranoid of, the loose fitting material would be cool and comfy in the heat and also hide any big summer lunch indulgences. And most of all it is completely and outrageously gorgeous! From the colour scheme to the super pretty soft looking texture. Modern day boho princess.
Miss Selfridge £65.00

Lastly a slight step away from all out bohemia this gorgeous two tone colour block dress is perfectly on trend, the zingy rasperry colour and the soft cream work together and to me look like rasperry sauce on creamy vanilla icecream. You can't get more summer than that!
Miss Selfridge £32.00
