Thursday Threads

Seeing as I haven't done a proper personal style post for a little while I thought it was about time to show you lovelies what I've been wearing lately. My obsessions at the moment are a mix between bohemian sheer blouses and dresses and then studded denim hot-pants, tights and leather. For this post I'm going with one of my favourite recent outfits - and yes I dared to bare my legs! Would have been unthinkable a few weeks ago and although definitely chilly I managed to cope ha-ha.

Oh yeah, apologies for my awkward posing skills today!

This divine dress comes curtesy of my little sisters friend (Thanks Liv) and I beleive it's from Primark whilst the shoes are from Forever 21 and the belt + necklace are market stall finds :)

If you're a fellow fan of nude embellished dresses I've hunted down a couple for you to see:

And

What's your take on nude? Adore? Detest? Let me know, everyone of your comments makes my day :)

30.03.2011- My Month in Pictures: March

I always love looking at the My Week in Pictures posts which crop up on so many of my favourite blogs, so I thought I'd try something similar. Alas, my life isn't really exciting enough for a post every week (and even if it were I would probably forget my camera more often than not), so I'm going to try and put together a regular post at the end of each month to share what I've been getting up to with you. So, drum roll please, as here we have my March in pictures:

2nd March- The view from my window at sunset. I can't believe how fantastic the weather has been this month!

18th March- I ordered this top from Topshop's Unique collection, it's fast becoming a wardrobe favourite!

18th March -Picked up this lovely bag in Urban Outfitters, it very much reminds me of the Mulberry Neely (although was thankfully only a fraction of the price!)

19th March - My view of the magical moon events that took place the weekend before last.

23rd March - Taken on a break from rehearsals for our final assessment at Uni.

25th March - The lovely roses which my Mum got me to say well done for my final performance assessment last week.

30th March - The Grasshopper Pie which I made today, following the recipe from The Hummingbird Bakery: Cake Days cookery book (details to follow soon!)

What have you been up to this month? And do you like these type of posts? Would you like to see more of them in the future?

Friday Fashion : OOTD

This isn't a particularly amazing outfit but I quite like the fact it's getting to the time of year that I'll be able to wear stuff like this more - Definitely makes me a happy fashionista.

My outfit simply consisted off a grey jumper dress, black waist-coat, and some simple black mid-heels - my absolute wardrobe staples - warn them to death!

What do you guys think? Is the jumper dress too short? My mom certainly thinks it is but then again don't all moms think everything is too short?! I guess I'd be more likely to wear it with black tights usually but this time I went for it - right or wrong decision?

I'd love opinions :) what do you guys do about super-short hemlines? Avoid or embrace?

Tuesday Trend : Maxing it out!

Sundays post on Nicole combined with a recent upping in temperature (please God let it stay sunny!)  really inspired me to go and dig out my own Maxi dress for the first time since last September-ish, this was an exciting moment for me! Seeing as I absolutely adore my maxi dresses I couldn't wait to dig them out because whilst I could pair them with tights/boots in winter I find waiting until Spring finally springs leaves me as excited and refreshed as if I had brought a new item.
Here's my current favourite :

I kept it pretty simple, teaming it with some flat black T-bar ballet flats and later when it got colder (booo come on Summer!) a cropped faded denim jacket. All in all it was a happy day for me ha-ha.

I also Attempted a little bit of a Boho-Chic hairstyle:

My dress was from Quiz I beleive and I think it cost around £18.00 - I'm not 100% though I've had it about 2 years now and my memory can be a little Fish-like ;)

Also if you love the look of the dress as much as I do then I've found one that's strikingly similar on my internet window shopping / torture sessions :

Hope you all like :)
