If you're a regular reader, then you'll know that I'm a complete and utter cake junkie. Whether they're home-baked or shop bought, I'm not really fussy, but one of my favourite bakeries to visit is LOLA's. You can probably imagine then, how excited I was when I heard about their Pink Label cupcakes, which are described as 'elegant and sophisticated' versions of their signature cakes, perfect for parties and to give as gifts. With twelve gourmet flavours to choose from, you'll certainly be spoilt for choice! Here's my pick from the range:

Mouth-watering! Each Pink Label cake is priced at £4, and the full range can be viewed over at the LOLA's cupcakes online store. I was also really excited to hear that Romy Lewis and Victoria Jossel, the founders of LOLA's, are releasing a cookery book in October. Entitled Making Cupcakes with Lola, the book features signature cupcake recipes and introduces some new cake-shaped delights.

I've pre-ordered my copy already!

14.03.2011- Japanese Blossom

I'm sure you've all been as shocked and moved as I have by the terrible scenes in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami which hit the east coast of the country last week. My heart really does go out to everyone caught up in the disaster. Organisations such as the British Red Cross are accepting donations to help with providing emergency medical care and supporting the communities affected by the disaster. The charity has also teamed up with LOLA's cupcakes to create a limited edition Cherry Blossom Cupcake, retailing online and in Selfridges' London Foodhall for £5 each. They are available from today, and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Cherry Blossom Cupcake will be donated to relief efforts in Japan.

10.03.2010- Say it with cake.

The lovely people over at LOLA's have created another beautiful range of cupcakes, this time for Mother's Day, which falls here in the U.K this coming Sunday. As always, each LOLA's cupcake is baked and lovingly decorated fresh every morning, and to celebrate the occasion, LOLA's have developed a delectable 'MUM Cupcake Box', which you can personalise with the perfect combination of flavours (including strawberry, vanilla, carrot and red velvet) and the name of the recipient of your gift box. Each cake is individually ornamented with edible roses, sprinkles and glitter and the pale pink, green, lilac and orange coloured icing evokes early spring (even if the weather at the moment is failing to do so!)

Each cupcake box is tied for delivery or collection, along with your personal message, and if a box of four cupcakes is far too tempting, then individual cupcake boxes are also available. 15.12.2009- A frosting filled Christmas!

The lovely cupcake connoisseurs over at LOLA's Kitchen have created a Christmas collection to make your mouth water this festive season. As well as developing a new seasonal ginger sponge, which is available along with all of LOLA's delectable existing flavours, they have been hard at work concocting some adorable cupcakes to make this Christmas even sweeter than usual.
