Monday Musings - Rainy Day Chic

I don't know about you lovelies but I'm absolutely fed up of rain scuppering my summer style plans! I've got dozens of light summery pieces that I'm desperate to wear but none of them are appropriate thanks to the ever constant drizzle we seem to be suffering from at the moment! To try and brighten up the day however I've set about compiling some chic ensembles to try and beat the gloomy weather and help us look chic even in a downpour.

Here we go:

Rainy chic 3

This outfit combines key Summer trends - Tribal print and brights with practicality. The leggings will keep you warm & toasty, socks can be worn under the ankle boots to keep feet dry and the jacket looks stylish whilst again keeping you save from the rain and also not too hot. Then the funky umbrella on the top finishes the look off whilst of course - saving your hair! Perfect rainy-day chic.

Then we have:

Rainy Day chic 2

This slightly warmer outfit. Combining lovely Summery colours again with this warm toned yellow top + colourful scarf and then practicality with the comfy and cosey blazer and funky boots (which I'm dying for). Once the jacket is removed upon arrival at wherever you're off to (aka somewhere none rainy) the look is instantly very Summery which meens hopefully you can combine staying dry and warm without loosing out on your warmer weather wardrobe!

And Lastly:
Rainy Day chic 1

We again have this pretty little outft. This gorgeous Tunic dress is very Summery with it's light floral pattern and soft colour scheme but the warm jacket (which looks remarkably similar to a jacket that I'm selling here) + rain friendly boots help make this practical for a rainier day too. As above once the jacket + Umbrella are removed this is a perfect Spring/Summer look - light, stylish and comfortable and once again thanks to this super pretty umbrella - Dry!

What do you lovelies think? How do you manage to stay chic even when the weather seems to be conspiring against you? Any secret weapons you'd like to share?
